For many people, the word ‘diet’ has become synonymous with restriction or denial, yet the dictionary definition of diet is:

The usual food and drink of a person or animal

As we can see there is no mention of special foods or restriction.

The relationship between food, ourselves and our bodies is a complex one. When most people think about weight management they think about food (or the restriction of certain foods). This is only a small part of the whole picture.
