Deltoid Stretch

The deltoid stretch focuses on the shoulders and stretches the deltoid and tricep muscles. The Deltoid Stretch can be performed as a preparatory stretch and held for 8 to 10 seconds.

The Deltoid Stretch focuses on the shoulders. The Deltoid and Tricep muscles are stretched.

Instructions

  • Starting from a normal standing position.
  • Bring your arm horizontally across your body.
  • Keep a little bit of flex in the elbow.
  • With your other arm, place your hand on the back of the upper arm and pull the arm across the body.

Progression: Apply more pressure to stretched arm.

Alternative: Upper Back Stretch.
